The School Council is a very important school body, and, over the years, this group has worked to ensure that Stuart Park School is well resourced and supports the needs of the community. Recently our school council has been responsible for projects such as organising a playground upgrade, introducing sports house shirts and leading a range of successful fundraisers.
The parent members of the School Council are elected at an Annual General Meeting which is held in early Term One, generally the third Monday in February. Parents are encouraged to become involved in the school community and this is one way of doing that.
Parents can be on the School Council or may decide to be on a sub-committee. Each Sub-Committee meets once monthly or as necessary and is chaired by a School Council member.
Sub-committees can change as needed, but generally we have committees for:
Fundraising
Out of School Hours Care
Grounds and Facilities
Finance
The School Council meets on the third Monday of every month except for the months of January, July and December.
Contact the school if you are interested in being involved.
